There is a suggested timetable to ensure children retain some routine. There is also a sheet advising parents on how to read effectively with their children.

The numbers 0-20 on Autumn leaves. This resource can be printed out and laminated and cut into cards. The cards can be used for number activities such as matching quantities to the digit, or digit ordering. They can also be used for display. The numbers are on a photograph of a leaf which lends to a more neutral, natural aesthetic than illustrated/ drawn images. They would be perfect for use when learning about Autumn or whilst doing outdoor learning or forest school.

A great resource for an independent play dough making activity used in Reception (though could be used with children of other ages). I modeled how to make the play dough to my class, then the children accessed it themselves. I gave as little help as possible. Children make own play dough regularly. This allows
fantastic mathematical language, teamwork, communication and problem solving skills.
This pack includes:
recipe slides which can be used on the board to demonstrate to the children what they need to do, then be printed to create a recipe book. Recipe is written as simply as possible (higher ability Reception children should be able to read it) and represented in pictures too. All measurements are in cups or spoonfuls so the children can measure out themselves.
Design a play dough creation writing/ drawing/ labeling sheet
Ingredients list writing task sheet.
Challenge sheet for continuous provision
Teacher notes and planning (including scoop sizes etc. so you can resource the activity so the recipe works!)
EYFS areas covered within this resource :
PSED
Communication and language (following instructions, communicating ideas e.g. how to crack an egg)
Physical development

Shape, space and measure
Space themed addition word problems for Reception or Year 1.
There are a couple of examples on a power point which can be shown to the class and the children can work together to work out the answers. Animations make the word problem, and how to work out the answer visual.
Then there are differentiated questions (answers below 10 and answers 10-20) to be printed and completed by the children with a self assessment area on them.
At the end there is further ‘mastery’ type questions, which allow for discussion and are clearly explained using pictures to support. There is a mastery question to be printed and completed by the children also.
I taught this using the first 2 slides as an introduction and worked with the class to find out the answers.
Then children completed the questions in speech bubbles (differentiated) by physically dividing up the the cakes between the Harry/Meghan/ the Queen / Prince William who were stuck on plastic plates. Cakes to print and laminate provided, but you could use real ones.
Sheets to record on also.
